Sylvia Hamowy is a noted makeup artist and beauty expert with over 25 years of experience in making women look and feel beautiful.  In addition to being listed in the national edition of "Who's Who of Entrepreneurs", she authors a beauty column for The Jewish Press, Image Magazine, and the Newsday Marketeer.  She is the founder of Reflections Cosmetics, a successful wholesale and retail cosmetics and skincare company. Her successful radio show, "Reflections on Beauty, Health and Fitness", introduced in 1986, was unique in that it helped Jewish women in enhancing their natural beauty while still obserrving Halachic law and custom.   In 1986, Sylvia introduced a brand-new line of cosmetics designed specifically for orthodox Jewish women who wanted to look their best on Shabbos for themselves, their families and friends, while still observing Halachic requirements.  With the guidance and approval of Rabbi Avrohom Blumenkrantz, she developed a quality line of cosmetics for use on the Sabbath.  Women all over the country have embraced this answer to good grooming and religious observance.
